History
The Collision Industry Foundation was incorporated on April 26, 2001. The original founders of the Collision Industry Foundation included Mark Claypool, Glen Funk, Dan Greenwald, Marco Grossi, Chuck Sulkala and Doug Webb . The foundation was formed with the intent of becoming a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and the IRS filing took place on August 24, 2001. Consideration by the IRS was received on September 19, 2001.
The Collision Industry Foundation provides emergency relief by securing and distributing donations to collision repair professionals who have experienced significant losses due natural disasters or other catastrophic events. Donations are 100% tax-deductible. Disbursements happen as needed and after review of applications and / or projects by trustees.

Early charitable projects of the Collision Industry Foundation included donations to local causes including children’s hospitals and battered women’s outreach programs; donations to sponsor student participation at the 2005 WorldSkills competition; donations to fund the purchase of a handicapped accessible school bus for Camp Mak-A-Dream; and The Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund for collision industry victims.
